Held at the South Lincoln Training and Events Center in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Registration for each conference is $100. Attend both conferences for $160, a $40 savings (no coupon necessary). DeadlinesCritical deadlines are: January 10, 2011: abstracts or extended abstracts for oral and poster presentations January 10, 2011: abstracts for full-length papers for proceedings volume February 15, 2011: full-length, pre-peer-reviewed manuscripts for the proceedings volume March 28, 2011: early registration due All topics related to preparing, mounting, curating and conserving fossils are welcome. WorkshopsWorkshops at the FPCS will include air-abrasion, percussion tools, and pin-vises using real fossil fish samples participants collect on the field trip (weather permitting). Trilobite preparation techniques by Dave Comfort. Other workshops include abstract writing, maintenance of pneumatic hand tools (e.g. Chicagos and Arrows) by Bill Murray and archival plaster cradle construction by Bill Keyser. Negotiations are underway for a workshop on macrophotography.RegistrationClick here to download the registration form. Motel rooms will be scarce during spring of 2011 due to industrial projects in the Kemmerer area! Roommates are encouraged so enough rooms are available for all who want to attend.
